Campaign to save the Climate Alarmist

Don't future generations deserve to see more than stuffed climate alarmists like this dodo?

We must preserve climate alarmists! Otherwise future generations will only see stuffed specimens like this dodo.

There are some species such as the Passenger Pigeon or the American Buffalo that are so numerous that no thinks they could disappear and not until too late does anyone think to protect them.

Back around 2007 when I first became a sceptic, you could go onto almost any forum in the world and be guaranteed to be the only sceptic or exceptionally, one of a small minority.

But these days even UK Guardian is so full to the brim of sceptics that it’s hard to be heard. I did find one of these isolated habitats where alarmists still thrive but I forgot to bookmark it and I’m now regretting that. These sites are now like gold-dust, secret reserves known to only a few sceptics jealously guarding their own clutch of alarmists.

Of course, such habitats are themselves in decline. They only exist because they are run by extreme alarmists who largely exclude sceptics. And they have a point – alarmists face extinction and perhaps we should start trying to preserve a few so that future generations can see what they are like. In the same way the Dodo seems an odd bird to us today from the few stuffed specimens, if all our children have to see are stuffed alarmists won’t they also get a very odd view of them?

Don’t we need to keep them alive so that our children can see them for what they are? So shouldn’t we turn the last few places into “alarmist reserves”. Wikipedia is one, TheSmugBlog is another, Real … the one that’s not SteveGoddard what’s their name? and “AndThere’sSomeoneWhoShouldKnowBetterButHasAClosedMind”, is another.

And it really is getting serious, because there’s a big problem in the alarmist community and it’s – interbreeding. There just aren’t the numbers to keep the online alarmist alive. And it’s worse than we think, because the same people appear on TheSmugBlog, real ?? & Wikipedia – that has got to lead to all kinds of mutations . Whether it’s this interbreeding or stress there’s increasing signs of mental instability as they are now doing irrational things, this is a species on the brink of extinction. Please! How do we preserve them? Do we need to find other alarmist species and try to get them to crossbreed?

Perhaps we could try to interbreed MMR vaccine alarmists and climate alarmists? Are there any Millennium bug alarmists left alive? What about swine flue alarmists and Ozone alarmists. Like Climate alarmists, they have all “popped their clogs” or are almost extinct.

Rationing

Perhaps we sceptics need to introduce a rationing system. There is now far too many of us on these blogs. And as one of the early sceptics I feel I have a right to have my fair share of alarmists at least some of the time.  But with the species on the decline we can’t all have our fair share and some days there’s so few alarmist articles that there’s none to be found at all outside the few alarmist sanctuaries where hunting is forbidden.

So, I propose that we introduce a worldwide rationing scheme splitting it thus:

  1. N.America
  2. S. America
  3. Europe
  4. Africa/Australasia
  5. England/Wales/Ireland
  6. Scotland

(I might have favoured Scotland slightly – but it’s my idea!)

This would allow us to ration out the few remaining alarmists and give us all an opportunity to have a decent barney with them.

I believe what we’re seeing today as alarmists are the natural evolution of the CJD alarmists from the ’80s. Remember them ? By their reckoning we would now be suffering from millions of people suffering and dying from Creuzfeld Jacobs disease caught from eating infected bovine products. I worked in the microbiology field at the time and couldn’t tie up the almost hysterical outpourings (mainly in the press ) with the reality as I saw it, although I did have some fellow scientists who were equally convinced that the world was doomed. Does sound familiar, doesn’t it !!!

Maybe an alarmist reservation complete with ts own renewable energy –
local alarmist industry including basket case weaving ‘n such, supported
    by tourism.

  3. Kit Carruthers says:

Why would any “alarmist” want to engage with “sceptics” online, when they are subject to the sort of abuse and vilification as seen spouted by your good self? It’s pointless.

    • Scottish-Sceptic says:

The evidence that the models had failed and that this was being hidden was there in 2009 in the Climategate inquiries. At that point I would have been very happy if academia had simply amended its ways, told the world that it had got it wrong on global warming and told the policy makers that unless we saw further warming there was absolutely no reason to deprive lots of people in Britain who cannot afford to pay their heating bills of the money they need to heat their homes.

But no. Despite the clear evidence of collusion between academics to falsify the evidence so as to hide the fact the temperature proxies could not be used as a reliable indicator, they continued – indeed in many cases – increased their political involvement.

And not once during all these years (18 according to the least “judgemental” satellite record) when academics were increasing their confidence in their predictions of wamring when they were clearly wrong as there was no significant warming have people like me had any assistance from any academics to ensure that the real science was heard and not political correct lies.

I personally have not had a wage since 2009. That is well over 5 years without an income and without a pension.

And given repeated attacks such as the BBC labelling me a “Paedophile”, the Government Minister Chris Hume labelling me a “Nazi”, and various hatespeech including assertions we should be “tattooed” or “exterminated” – I think I have a right to be just a little upset with the academics who have pushed this scare to the very clear detriment of people like me who stood up to their lies and deceit.

      • Scottish-Sceptic says:

In other words, the alarmists had their chance for an amicable settlement when they might have been able to claim there was some doubt about the evidence and they could stop their vile hatefilled attacks on us & climb down gracefully.

But as the US president inspired witch hunt in the US shows that hate campaign has continued and now it is far too late to just forgive and forget and nothing short of criminal prosecutions will satisfy me.

More evidence that those academics involved in climate “science” are biased and being led by their purses:

‘Alarmist’ can’t engage with ‘sceptics’ anywhere. When faced with the opportunity, they run back to their safe, well-funded, little cliques and cry foul.

If the science was as simple and settled as you folk say it is, then bring us ‘sceptics’ one piece of empirical evidence proving that a trace gas in the atmosphere can (laughingly) be classed as a pollutant.

      Can you do that, Kit?

      • Kit Carruthers says:

There’s lots of empirical evidence. You just chose to deny their existence.

How about we turn this around: can you provide one bit of empirical evidence (peer-reviewed) which shows that the CO2 rise is mostly natural AND that this additional CO2 is not warming Earth i.e. the Earth’s not warming and it’s not our fault?

        • Scottish-Sceptic says:

First, might I point out that our peers are other sceptics. I personally have no intention of letting a group of people who have proven totally incapable of making a valid prediction decide whether my work is valid.

So, you’ll find that sceptics use a much more impartial test. In science what matters is whether theories predict what actually happens.

This allows us to completely ignore politically inspired points of view and focus on quantifiable tests that no one can dispute.

And if you weren’t aware, I had an article recently explaining how statistically I had decided that recent changes were more than likely natural: http://scottishsceptic.co.uk/2015/03/06/proof-recent-temperature-trends-are-not-abnormal/

        • TinyCO2 says:

But you’re the side that wants action. The burden of proof is on you. If you want to go it alone, not one of us will stop you. Hey, if all those surveys are correct there are loads of you. Alternatively if Scottish Sceptic is right, it might be quite expensive and almost certainly useless.

Every month that warmists hold out there’s nothing wrong with the models, the less credible they’ll sound if they have to dial it back. And they’ll struggle mightily getting people to believe any of it again.

Or maybe this will be the year of significant warming…

          • Scottish-Sceptic says:

It’s worse than useless. People die because they cannot afford to heat their homes. Anti-CO2 propaganda is in reality anti-industry propaganda and I would argue is the single most harmful thing since the war. When I last looked 1/4 of our manufacturing had gone abroad, and I think almost all of it is because of the same anti-industry attitude that is the foundation of the global warming scare.

In addition, we have wasted a huge amount of effort on a totally useless and largely unpredictable aspect of the climate to the severe detriment of useful work that could right this minute be saving lives.

I am certain people have died because of this false global warming scare. I would guess several thousand deaths could be attributed to it in the UK. Worldwide it is much higher, and the lost time we’ve wasted on this could account for millions of lives through disasters that could have been prevented if people were not obsessed with this non-science.

The Guardian has at least 6 full time attack dogs ready to debunk any sceptical claims.
The reasonable ,affable, highly repetitive, rocky rex ,Semyorka, ID 4759394 (or woteva numbers) and a few more. They must be paid as they are there 24/7 ,they are allowed to harass and abuse whilst poor little people like me get banned (around about a dozen times now , I’m proud to say)
for questioning the trite observations and plagiarisation of other copy , by Nuttysmelly .

Hotwhopper site is run by a serious nut job, not only does she go nuts whilst responding to posts she has already banished but she keeps her small coterie of smugness in check with a smart reminder now and then should they stray from the doctrine.

Skeptical Seance is the mecca of the climate jihadis ,where they come to worship and be told not to be afraid for the cook has got some amazing recipes, climate science junk food specialist.
Nutticcelli is also involved there , the thing is there are not as many adherents to the consensus as you might think , the same people are spread very thin ,but have tentacles all over the web and they must keep hammering the consensus for that is how they earn a crust.
From what I have seen of them , without the cult of Global Jihad ,they would be stretched to earn a living elsewhere…(just to stick my own 2p of ad hom in their ugly mugs).

    • Scottish-Sceptic says:

I would argue with “ready to debunk”. They are “ready to try to debunk”, but as more and more evidence comes our way they are failing more and more often to find any way to counter our statements.

The one I love is that in 2001 the IPCC predicted the temperature would rise by 1.4 to 5.8C 1990 to 2100. I usually just ask the question “show me just one temperature dataset that is warming at even the lowest rate predicted by the IPCC in 2001.

Of course they cannot. They attempt to obfuscate the issue by talking about “range of temperature”, but I tell them to get lost, because the IPCC prediction is for the average temperature and any range or errors is accounted for in the original range.

It drives them mental. They’ve got absolutely no answer to it.

  6. RogueElement451 says:

“where has the heat gone ?” gets them all quite giddy as well ..
Nutticcellis favourite barb is about carbon pollution, I always try to ask him what he means by that ,he gets all tetchy and bitchy then fries my current nom de guerre.
I suppose in a way he is correct , I am trolling his work ,but I find it more amusing to write in alarmist blogs than fellow sceptics blogs. at any rate ,he should welcome comment and discussion otherwise his pack of rats will get too fat and useless to assist in the future.
Good luck to you and your blog , it does not feel like we are winning it just feels like more and more people are sick to death of the conversation.I regret to say that , but it’s true , nobody cheers for “nothing happening here, move on”
